Dear God:
You are my light and my salvation, please help me understand why I have been afraid to be all that you have created me to be.
It is your great pleasure to give me all the good things of life, yet I am still unable to receive, to accept, to welcome your joy, your peace, your abundance as an every day occurrence in my life.
You promised me God that when my father, my mother, my friends, my lover, my children, turned their backs on me, that you would be there to guide me, protect me, love me, just as I am.
Please help me understand what it is that I fear, that keeps me from relying on you totally for everything.
You promised me God that you would not let the adversaries gain control over me, that you would hide me in the shadow of your Almighty Power, and lead me to a safe place.
You promised me God that you would open doors for me that no one could close. You promised that you would close doors that no one could open. You promised that you would prepare a table before me, even when others said it would be impossible
Today, I am willing to understand why I have not relied on your promises. Today, I am willing to stand in the shadow of your Almighty presence to understand what it is that I do and what I fear, that keeps me from living the life you have prepared for me.
Please bring the answers and revelations lovingly and gently, so that I will be able to dwell in the presence of your joy, peace, mercy, grace and love, and realize the freedom that you have given to me
Now, I let it Be.
For this and all that you have done, I Am so very grateful.
And so it is!
